I'm Richard. I run Spatio Dev, a one-person studio that builds CRM and automation systems for service businesses. You deal with me the whole way through. There's no account manager and no handoff to a junior after the contract is signed.
The story
How I ended up doing this
I started in WordPress development in 2019. Clients kept asking the same thing after launch: the site is fine, but why are we still losing people who fill in the form?
The answer was almost never the website. It was that the lead landed in an inbox and waited. So I went and learned the CRM side properly: pipelines, webhooks, SMS, the whole plumbing, and started fixing the part after the form.
Since then I've built 42 systems for clinics, agencies, real estate teams and local service companies. Clinics with 3 locations, agencies routing leads to 8 reps, service companies where the owner was the only one chasing quotes at 9pm.
I work with businesses doing roughly $20k to $500k a month. Below that, the manual way still works. Above it, you need a team of people, not one of me.
How I work
Four rules I don't bend
You own everything
The account, the snapshot, the tags, the trigger map. If we stop working together, nothing breaks and nothing is held hostage.
I work with the person doing the job
The front-desk person knows why the current process fails. I build with them in the room, not from a brief passed down two levels.
Every claim has a number behind it
Before anything ships I write down what we're measuring: response time, no-show rate, form abandonment. Then we check it two weeks after launch.
Small enough to read
If a workflow needs a diagram to explain, it's two workflows. Your team should be able to open the account and understand what fires when.
